Privacy Policy

PoolPilot is designed to work without an account and to keep routine pool records on your device.

Information stored on your device

Pool details, estimated volume, water-test readings, maintenance logs, assistant history, and weekly plan progress are stored locally on your device. PoolPilot does not operate an account database for this information. Deleting the app or using Reset & start over removes locally stored PoolPilot data, subject to normal device backup behavior.

Optional AI features

When you choose photo diagnosis, test-strip scanning, or Ask PoolPilot, the information needed for that request is sent to PoolPilot's processing service. Depending on the feature, this can include a pool or test-strip photo, pool size and equipment, recent chemistry readings, and the question or prompt you submit.

PoolPilot uses Cloudflare to receive and protect these requests and Google Gemini to generate the requested analysis. Requests are encrypted in transit. PoolPilot does not place uploaded photos in its response cache. Responses may be cached using one-way hashes for up to 24 hours to reduce duplicate processing. Network identifiers are used in daily abuse-prevention counters and expire automatically.

For paid Gemini API service, Google states that prompts, images, and responses are not used to improve its products. Google may retain limited data for abuse monitoring as described in its service terms. PoolPilot does not enable optional prompt logging or contribute customer requests to training datasets.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Baja Sky Studios does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple provides transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock Premium features.

Retailer and affiliate links

The Shop section can open Amazon or The Home Depot in your browser or their app. Those companies receive the information normally sent when you open a link, and their own privacy policies apply. PoolPilot may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Product links are available without a Premium subscription.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

PoolPilot does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information. The app does not track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.

Children

PoolPilot is a household maintenance utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and requests

AI features are optional. Manual chemistry entry and maintenance tracking remain available without sending a photo. Because routine records are stored on your device, Baja Sky Studios generally cannot retrieve or delete them remotely.

Changes

We may update this policy when PoolPilot's features or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
